Trailer Hitching, Safety & Securing the Mini Loader

At Havoc Hire, we are all about Safety, protecting our gear, and most importantly, ensuring you can safely operate and use the equipment.

Our Trailer is equipped with the Elec Brake Bluetooth Brake Controller. When your vehicle isn't equipped with an in-built brake controller, the Bluetooth remote measures as a percentage when it come to trailer brake gain. 10 being 10% (low brake effort), 40 being 40% (medium brake effort) and so forth. The heavier the load, the stronger brake effort needed.

Quick Tips:

  • Start at 30–40%. (on the elec brake bluetooth remote)
  • Drive around 30–40 km/h on a flat road.
  • Tap the brakes gently:
  • If the trailer pushes the car → increase the %.
  • If the trailer grabs or locks → decrease it.

It is important you get this right to eliminate wearing flat spots in the tyres or causing damage to the trailer due to excessive lock ups.
